I am Seaneen, and in October 2006, I was diagnosed with Bipolar I disorder. This is my bipolar journal. Here is an introduction to me.
It's for me to keep a diary of mood swings, write about boring medication and treatment things and to basically keep track of myself and try to reach some sort of grudging acceptance about the whole thing. Since I have only just been diagnosed and am starting out on medications, it will be useful for me to see how I am reacting to them and this is an easy way to do it, as I am surgically attached to my computer.
It'll be public so feel free to comment.
In a year's time I hope to look back on my foetal fumblings with a hearty dose of amusement and maybe even a tiny bit of pride.
Since it's dead fashionable for the Mentally Interesting to boast about their crazy illnesses on their profiles, I'll list my diagnosis too, like they make me special.
Diagnosed with Bipolar I disorder: rapid cycling (for the moment, 'tis a temporary state, apparently), Body Dysmorphic Disorder and a chronic case of the BRILLIANTS.
Currently being pumped with 1000mg of Lithium and 300mg of Seroquel a day for the manic depression, about two hours reassurance from the boyfriend and Rimmel a day for the BDD and about 20 cigerettes and four cups of tea a day for the BRILLIANTS.
Twenty cigarettes is not enough. Please send more.
